  2. Dear Miss Galtieri,

Here are my answers to the questions you put on the blog about the btn – Space Effects…

    1. The main point of the btn is how being in space a long time changes your body and how NASA is researching what changed and what didn’t.

    2. Scott Kelly was in space for one year.

    3. Scott Kelly lived on the international space station while he was in space.

    4. Some interesting things Scott Kelly took into space were Star Wars things, Halloween masks and a gorilla suit.

    5. What Scott liked about being back on earth was the fresh air.

    6. Scott was part of the NASA research project looking at how your body changes in space.

    7. Scott was 5cm taller when he got back from space. This happened because there is no gravity in space pushing you down so his spine stretched out.

    8. Astronauts lose bone and muscle mass in space because since there is no gravity you barely have to do any excersise so the muscles weaken.

    9. To strengthen their muscles in space they use exercise equipment and run.

    10. I would not like to spend a year in space because of how it would change my body.

  3. Dear miss Galtieri
These are my answers to the BtN video.

    1. What was the main point of the Space Effects story?
To tell people how your body is effected after coming back from space.

    2. How long was Scott Kelly in space?
He was there for a year.

    3. Where did he live while he was in space?
He was staying on the international space station (ISS).

    4. What interesting things did Scott take into space?
A Halloween mask and a… gorilla suit?

    5. What did he like about being back on Earth?
The fresh air hitting his face.

    6. Describe the NASA research project that he was part of.
He was in a project to see how the human body is affected by being in space for a year.

    7. How much taller was Scott when he returned from space? Why was he taller?
He was 5cm taller because in space there is no gravity so your spine would stretch out.

    8. Why do astronauts lose bone and muscle mass in space?
Because they muscle do less work in space so it makes them weaker.

    9. What do they do to strengthen bones and muscles while they
    are in space?
They make the astronauts to almost 3 hours of exercise a day.

    10. Would you like to spend a year in space? Why or why not?
No because it seems like it be very boring after a while and I would probably become lonely.
